#BirdLife partners host a side event on strengthening #Wetland Conservation: From Policy to Practice. The event focuses on key issues, challenges, and opportunities in wetland conservation across #Africa and beyond, with a particular emphasis on turning policy into tangible action.
The #RamsarCOP15 Bureau added a draft resolution from Ukraine, relating to Resolution XIV.20, which directed the Secretariat to conduct an assessment of Ukraine’s Ramsar Sites affected by the aggression of the Russian Federation. The resolution will be considered after the original 28 are heard.
Delegates at #RamsarCOP15 began discussions on draft resolutions, first focusing on the budget and finance resolution, which outlines 4 scenarios for increases, ranging from 0% (default) to 11.3%, with increases contingent on contracting parties' willingness to increase assessed party contributions.
