When the #skiesarecalling, you pack the car, chase the dark, and let the stars guide your way.
Chris spent the weekend in the #EasternSierra, where the #RASA8 captured the:
🔹 #ClamshellNebula
🔹 #M5
🔹 #B142-143
This is what happens when clear skies meet fast optics—and you answer the call.

Chris H. scored a 2-for-1 w/ his latest 📷️, featuring #NGC6888 & the elusive #Ju1 just below it. Combining fresh Ha narrowband data from '21 & the bluish-green OIII fringe surrounding the Crescent, adding incredible depth to the image.

✨ The Flower & the Eye—a celestial masterpiece, skillfully captured by Ryan. In the bottom left corner of this image, we encounter SH2-101, the Tulip Nebula, in full bloom. #Celestron #RASA8, all from a Bortle-7 backyard in Kitchener.
About 12 million light years away, #M81 (#Bode'sGalaxy) & #M82 (the #CigarGalaxy) lie in the constellation #UrsaMajor. This stunning spiral & irregular galaxy duo was captured in about 12 hours of exposure w/ the #Celestron #RASA8 & Light Pollution Reduction filter by Mike Shapiro.
The Sword of Orion. M42, M43, and NGC 1977. 584 minutes HaRGB with a Celestron RASA 8, Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro, and ZWO ASIAir. Color data was taken with a ZWO ASI071MC camera and IDAS GNB filter (Ha, Hb, OIII + NIR). Hydrogen Alpha Luminance was taken with a ZWO ASI2600MM camera and Baader 6.5nm f/2 high speed Ha filter. Processed in DSS, GraXpert, PixInsight, and Photoshop. Taken over 3 nights from light polluted Long Beach, CA.
Every winter, I look forward to Orion rising, and with it the Orion Nebula. This is one of my deepest images yet. Almost 10 hours of imaged at f/2 from light-polluted Long Beach.

Getting setup to do some astrophotography with a #RASA8 and an 8" Newtonian in South East Queensland. Had to wait until midnight for the 1/2 moon to set.. hence the shadows. Don't look to close at the cable management..
