Today's #31DaysofGraves is #Relocated. Edmund Tudor, died in 1456 after his defeat at Carmarthen, buried in the Carmarthen Greyfriars, his son Henry VII gave him a spiffy new tomb in about 1500, the tomb and (probably) the body were moved to St David's Cathedral after the dissolution of the friary.
I had been planning to use this for the #Military theme of #31DaysOfGraves but I missed it due to forgetting...
But it works equally for today's #Relocated theme as my great uncle Samuel Christie Annal was originally buried at Sahmaw before being moved in 1954 to the Taukkyan War Cemetery.

He was originally buried in Euskirchen, close to where he died in 1919, then reburied in the CWGC cemetery in Cologne. I don't know which location this picture is. 1/2

I'm on a trip to Belfast this week, so for today's #31DaysOfGraves theme of #relocated, here are the unmarked common graves of 17 #executed men from Crumlin gaol, 2 of whom were exhumed and reinterred elsewhere. The graves were shallow and covered in ash.

A large gravestone is embedded in a flagstone floor. The first part of the inscription reads: This is the Burying place of John McWilliam and his heirs 1787 And is now the Property of Robert Barclay Merch Paisley 1808 Robert Barclay died 13th december 1828, And lies here.
