Staples driven into the front of a hard plastic seat frame through fabric sewn to the edge of the mesh to sit on.
More of the same as the left photo but dozens of staples diagonally at the back of the seat frame also holding in a steel wire that runs around the edge of the mesh.
Trying to fix my office chair. Over time, the bum mesh has stretched and it hurts my back to sit in now. They sewed a tough fabric around the edge of the mesh that has a braided steel wire in it, then stapled it to the plastic frame by hand using a pneumatic stapler. It's tough to remove. #repairs
