What a god damn creative and charming game. I saw it being played by a puzzle game youtuber I like, and within the first 5 minutes stopped watching because I knew I wanted to check this gem out for myself. And I'm damn glad I did, because the game is so so cool. An open world metroidvania experience that has a very simple premise "You have a spell book of runes, you can cast 5 of them at once, solve stuff" and very few restrictions outside of that. The number of times I did something I knew was stupid but managed to make it work felt amazing but despite how open ended it is, the puzzles are designed well enough that I never felt like I cheesed them, and instead had to think every time, and had multiple nights where in bed I suddenly went "OH THAT'S HOW I SOLVE THAT." Which is the best feeling in the world from a puzzle game. The story and characters are delightful too, at times leaning a biiiit hard with some undertale insperation (the labs frozen in time are the most gaster shit i've ever seen) but still hitting it's own vibes and concepts so hard, and Rhell the protag is such a smug weirdo girl I love her. I couldn't reccomend this game more 🙂

- You can get soft locked easily, but fortunately there is an area reset and a warp if you box yourself in.
- The spells are super fun to combine and they really do add up to some complex and unexpected behaviors which are quite fun.

Initial impressions:
- Got stuck early until I figured out that I could walk across the bridge that was "out".
- Music is... music is quite repetitive.
- Love the artistic style and combo of 2D/3D
- The puzzles are quite clever...
