The wonderful #RyedaleFestival is well underway. This morning, in J.L. Pearson’s glorious Christ Church, #Appleton-le-Moor, I heard Timothy #Ridout play #Bach suites and sonatas, transposed for viola. He played with mesmerising skill, zest, pathos and beauty. A performance I will not forget.
