At first, I was heartbroken about the passing of Jimmy Carter. Today I can't help but feel joy. Someone with such a wide audience showed all of us how important and simple it is to treat all humans with dignity. #RIPJC. Now that's a life well lived.

My parents spoke glowingly of The Carter Center. They visited in 1992. Good stuff. I still need to visit.👈🏼
I was able to volunteer for a day on a Habitat house in ATX, around 1999-ish. Great experience. A Habitat Re-Store is just 1.8 miles north of my little fixer house. I shop there a LOT. ❤️ #RIPJC
