You wake up in an unfamiliar place, unsure of how you got here. Suddenly, you sense a presence close by. A figure appears, cloaked partially in the surrounding darkness. They appear to float without any effort at all, and their arms and hands appear to be shattered into several pieces—yet, they maintain their overall shape. You cannot see their obscured face, which is hidden behind a hood. Despite that, their two diamond eyes pierce through the pitch black to stare directly at you. “My, my, how did you end up here?”

Happy New Year! As 2025 comes to a close, I have to say that I’m shocked at how quickly time has passed. I haven’t been active much due to personal stuff, but I hope to be more active in 2026! Until then, have a sneak peek at a new Rivertown face!

Stillwater is a gorgeous rivertown. The old lift bridge was replaced by a snazzy new one built in 2017 farther down the St. Croix River. The historic original is now used by pedestrians and cyclists. I never could afford to live there, but I spent quite a lot of time exploring the shops, restaurants, and caves in and around the place. Not sure where I was standing to take these pics, but it was definitely on the MN side. ** Canon PowerShot SX40, F/4.5, 1/320s , ISO-100, 76mm. Processed in Luminar Neo.
