Been too long since had a lifeboaty day, so very much making up for it. #rnli #rnli200 This is, appropriately, Swanage's 13th lifeboat, the 'George Thomas Lacy'. The first 13 in its number is the class (length) - and the second because it was the 13th Shannon class boat to be built. Love it.

The RNLI celebrated their 200th anniversary in 2024 and if there's a more relevant or worthwhile organisation anywhere in the world I have no idea what it is.

Today is the 200th birthday of one of our favourite charities, @RNLI. They do amazing work saving lives at sea. This was us at the Scarborough Lifeboat Station a few years ago "helping" with the inshore lifeboat. #RNLI200
