My favourite research for my books is visiting a beautiful location to check I’ve got the details right. I also like to research the job my characters do. The heroine of my next book is an art conservator- and I now know a lot more about art restoration than I used to!

Components of medieval architecture. Why? Needed to describe the stonework around the Lodge. It needed to be more specific than the thingy over curved thing with a creature on top 😂

Sometimes, as an author, I wish that my characters knew that I'm supposed to be in charge of the plot!
They do tend to go off and do exactly what they like, and fall in love with each other when they're supposed to stay in the friend zone until the final page!
