But @powerauerart.bsky.social had it worse to animate the environment heheheh
(I nearly forgotten about tiny Donnie and Mikey on this dreaded shot. I also felt so terrible for Kraang.)

Can I just give another shoutout to @powerauerart.bsky.social for KILLING it with the environment effects? (viewable in final video until she makes her own behind the scenes) I was in charge of the mystic effects in this project.

Honestly this whole project was just fun to work on. Meghan and I LOVED how the royalty free song synced PERFECTLY with this portion. I especially loved just animating Kraang's reaction.

It was really fun collaborating with @powerauerart.bsky.social on how to really get those environment assets to work well together.
MULTIPLE shots were stabilized for compositing
Improvising on animation keys were fun. (Kraang's tail)

I've ALWAYS loved this concept. Another one of those shots I looked the most forward to animating and coloring. Drawing every frame was a BLAST!!
ESPECIALLY figuring out how to really make Leo's mystic effects SHINE!!

btw, none of Restored was animated in order, but this one was one that I looked forward to the most. Just capturing Leo's anger in those few frames was a lot of fun

While short, it was fun to sort of improvise how Donnie's effects can be ripped apart, Neon Genesis Evangelion style. Don't think if it was intentional, but that's how I saw it.
(I also liked how the music synced with this part)

I remember asking @powerauerart.bsky.social over and over "Are they angry enough?" as I drew the characters. A whole ton of fun. This shot was also a good test of how to approach their mystic effects.
