I feel like Liz Truss and Liam Rosenior could become friends
Chelsea Coaching Change
Liam Rosenior probably thought taking the Chelsea job was just an in-org promotion, but I am always shocked when managers leave stable positions for precarious in-season jobs at bigger clubs. Those clubs need managers because they're bad. Like Eric Ramsay leaving Minnesota United for West Brom.
Liam Rosenior is an intelligent coach with bright ideas.
But he never had the CV to command authority at Chelsea — so when results started to turn, faith quickly ebbed away.
He goes down as another botched BlueCo appointment, which further damages the owners’ credibility.

If you want an idea of how stupid Chelsea are these days, every single Chelsea fan with more than 5000 followers had been told yesterday that Rosenior would go if he lost.
Rosenior was an odd appointment in the first place. But he isn't even in the top five weirdest decisions Chelsea have made in the last 12-18 months.
This isn't an underperforming football club. It's a plaything for rich people that don't know how football actually works.
It’s a good job Chelsea locked Liam Rosenior down until *checks notes* 2032, isn’t it?
??????????
It's as if DJ Trump was in charge of Chelsea, a club suffering from manic dementia, if there is such a thing. Maybe they'll appoint Rosenior again tomorrow? Or bring back Maresca? Or call in Gary O'Neill from the manager farm in Strasbourg? Who cares, really?
Couldn’t Chelsea wait until after the Spurs game to fire Rosenior? Dammit!
Rosenior will be fine. He’s a young coach who did good work at Hull and Strasbourg, but this job was so obviously beyond him - take your payoff and run.
Chelsea are an embarrassment though. Not a shred of cohesion, clarity or conviction between any of those chumps.
the rosenior era gave us many memorable moments in short time - the ball control, the "you're in our half" stuff, the player huddle in center circle, to count a few - while losing constantly. which is pretty much all you could ask for from a chelsea manager. i'm going to say a hearty thank you 😌

Liam Rosenior going back to #OpenToWork a day before Fernando Mendoza's inevitable #ImHired post drops in the middle of the NFL draft ... what a 24-hour period for Sports Guys on LinkedIn
Chelsea have parted company with head coach Liam Rosenior after a damaging run of form.
Calum McFarlane has been named interim coach until the end of the season.

What a mess of a club. The players have given up - hardly surprising when two of their most experienced players publicly announced they wanted to leave. Nobody would succeed in that environment & the lack of forethought is astounding - Rosenior signed a 5 and a half year contract just 3 months ago.
Liam Rosenior gone. An utterly predictable end for a smart but raw coach who had no basis to command authority at a club like Chelsea.
Maresca's departure wasn't in the plan, but how could the hierarchy not have foreseen how this would play out?

What you’ve got to remember about Chelsea is they were poor before Rosenior arrived. That’s why he got job. So McFarlane gonna sort the dressing room out in 4 days? #LUFC
Oh Chelsea 🥲
Please be forthcoming with your thoughts and questions following the news that Liam Rosenior has been sacked.
Immediate reaction? Who next? What does this mean for Sunday? Where's your head at in general?
The floor is yours, dear SOC listener... #CFC

🚨 BREAKING: Chelsea have decided to SACK Liam Rosenior with immediate effect.
It’s OVER after 4 months, and 5 consecutive defeats with 0 goals scored. ❌
Chelsea have just sacked Rosenior!
🚨 BREAKING: Liam Rosenior has been sacked as Chelsea head coach following five-straight Premier League losses.
Sporting leadership met following the defeat to Brighton and it was determined an immediate change is necessary. Calum McFarlane will take charge of the team until the end of the season.
I feel genuinely sorry for Rosenior. He wasn't very good, but none of our players come close to being able to act the biggun about his management.
Seems very harsh to sack Liam Rosenior when he actually managed to get a point against Leeds United. Just goes to show that modern football is mental. #lufc
