Day 2 of the 30 day #roughdraftchallenge and I'm about to force myself to get in at least 500 words before I go to bed. Then I'll spend an hour harassing my cat, because if she didn't want to be hugged she wouldn't be so small and huggable.

Day 1: 543/10k most of it was typing up stuff I had written previously, so it felt a bit like cheating. Today should be new words. #RoughDraftChallenge

Day 22 3k/5k migraines suck. Post-migraine brain fog sucks. Am deeply annoyed at the story and how much I need to cut and rearrange. Resurrected a much more light hearted idea that I'll tinker with instead. Next month is for reading. #RoughDraftChallenge

Day 14: have officially dropped my goal to 5k. The state of the world is not making it easy to write... anything. #RoughDraftChallenge

Day 9: 1,646/10k Haven't been writing much the last few days but managed to get out to a local cafe and got some done. #RoughDraftChallenge

In other news, I now have a new keyboard and mouse, which in theory will make writing easier. They're pink.

There are few things more satisfying than getting a brand new keyboard. Definitely helping me get through this #roughdraftchallenge. Here's to being the rebels and pursuing joy and not losing sight of what our stories can become.

Days 4&5 were spent working, socializing, and recovering from work. A tiny bit sad that Double Down Days happen on my busiest work day. But most people post the recordings so I can find one and sprint along tomorrow. #RoughDraftChallenge

Yeah... remember when I said I was planning for 10k in April? Well... my current word count total for the month is 10,240... I WROTE 10K IN 5 DAYS!!! That is insane to me... Needless to say, I've upped my goal. I'm now thinking 25k. Who knows what'll happen though...

Day 3 1105/10k feels like cheating since I didn't delete scenes that no longer work & typing a bit that I had handwritten awhile ago. 10k isn't going to get me as far along in the plot as I thought. Can’t edit a blank page, right? #RoughDraftChallenge
