using uncommon/archaic/clinical terms for stuff seems like a good start to me? like #ructus for burps and #borborygmi for stomach noises, to complete the example. it feels like doing that would provide something easy to mute without it being likely to hit "innocent" uses of common words, y'know?
In the background, Lapis Lazuli, a large, very heavyset blue-skinned, blue-haired woman stands in front of an open fridge, eating a slice of pie out of her hand while wearing a look of haughty boredom. In the foreground, Peridot, a much shorter, smaller green-skinned woman with yellow-green hair looks back at her, with an expression of highly exaggerated, snarling exasperation and bewilderment. Dialogue: Lapis: "Hey -- Did you get more food yet?" Peridot: "What? -- Yes, and you are ALREADY eating it." Lapis: "Oh, huh, okay. (Burp) Well, I'm gonna eat all of this in one sitting, so, go (burp) get some more." Peridot: "Why would you do this. Why would I do that? ...Why am I going to do that?"

Yeah yeah, look, we have our criticisms of SU, but we can all agree it was an inspired choice when Lapis blew up into a 800 pound orb of a fae and psychologically tormented Peridot with her shameless fatassery 🌈
Y'remember when that happened, y'know ❓
