#BAFTA2026 Film Awards - Director - #YorgosLanthimos with his #Bugonia and #RyanCooglar with #SinnersMovie (2025) were the best directed films of last year for me so I would be happy with either of them. But I can see #PaulThomasAnderson getting this award.

Don't think it should matter what #gender or #race wins IMO.
It is great to see more diversity (as it should be) but the best #film and film #makers should win.

#SinnersMovie (2025) 4/5. #RyanCooglar served up a great vampire thriller as it interwined with the 1930's Mississipi setting infusing the film with rich culture. One particular scene about music and its impact through to the present was so imaginative. Beautiful cinematography.
The film "SINNERS" is that good.
African American History,The aftermath of Slavery, The Blues, Southern Gothic, and Horror Movies create something new.
