Red salamander, rudely exposed during a landscaping operation, but safely back under cover of layers of leaf litter as of this writing.

Came across this cutie pie while removing a patch of Vinca minor (to make way for planting some Wood Oats.) Quickly relocated him/her/them to an equally thick and wet area of leaf litter deeper in the woods.
