Three ouutdoor restaurnat tables stretch from the left to right sides of the picture. At the first, a young woman sits alone, staring at her phone. Four people sit at the middle table, reviewing the menu and in conversation with a three-person mariachi band. At the thrid table, a waiter delivers plates of Tex-Mex goodness. In the foreground, a bit of the San Antonio River can ben seen, animated by ducks and ducklings which may also be in search of lunch.

Here's another painting of folks around restaurant tables - this one based on San Antonio's famed River Walk. (Acrylic, 11"x14"x1.5" wood panel). #art #fineart #sanantoniopainting #sanantonioriverwalk #acrylicpainting #acrylic #texmexpainting #illustrationart

The center left side of this painting illustrates a brown stone mission church with a pyramid-roof tower on each side of the central pedimented entry doors. In the center, a low hemispherical dome rises above the central body of the church. Much of that is hidden behind portions of a stone ruin. The sky is a bright blue. Green is introduced into the painting by a tall palm tree along the left edge, overhanging oak branches which fill much of the upper right-hand corner, and a lawn in the foreground. As a bonus, a water well occupies a spot by one of the walks which cross the lawn.

San Antonio's Mission Concepcion was completed in 1731. My effort to capture this view began and ended in 2014. I strongly encourage tourists in SA to check out the Mission trail that extends south from the city center. (Acrylic on 11" x 14" x 1 1/2" cribbed wood panel) #sanantoniopainting #acrylic

Sunshine spotlights the front elevation of this historic Spanish mission. The sky is a deep blue. A portion of the church is reflected in a large puddle in the foreground.

Here's another San Antonio area site, the Mission San Jose (circa 1768). My painting illustrates the front elevation of this edifice after a thunderstorm. (Acrylic, 11" x 14" x 1 1/2" on cribbed wood panel) #acrylicpainting #sanjosemission #sanantoniomission #sanantoniopainting #travelpainting

Viewed through a stone archway, a massive oak tree with limbs which snake outwards in all directions, more than fills the painting and casts dappled shadows on the pathway and ground cover below

Here's another painting based on the gardens around San Antonio's Alamo. This is Alamo Oak (acrylic on cribbed wood panel, 11" x 14" x 1 1/2"). #sanantoniopainting #alamopainting #acrylicpainting #travelpainting #alamooak

Just over 10 years ago, I spent fruitful time in and around San Antonio collecting experiences and images leading to a series of paintings. This one - Alamo Garden (acrylic on cribbed wood panel, 11" x 14" x 1 1/2") - later sold to a Rap artist. #sanantoniopainting #alamopainting #acylicpainting
