This rather unusual looking bird is an Andean Cock-of-the-rock. According to Wikipedia, it’s native to Andean cloud forests & it’s the national bird of Peru. I took this picture at the San Diego Safari Park last month.

This Boojum Tree at the #SanDiegoSafariPark, might not be the tallest of trees, but it’s certainly one of the more unusual ones. Interestingly, its name comes from the poem, “The Hunting of the Snark”, by Lewis Carroll.
