But at the first dance of Sanemi’s touch between Kyojuro's legs, the Flame Hashira cried out. Loud. “For fuck’s sake!” Sanemi hissed, his hand clamping over Kyojuro's mouth. He paused, listening for any sound of movement close by. Only the distant sound of laughter and chatter could be heard. In truth, Kyojuro probably hadn't been that loud. But that bastard Uzui had a knack for sneaking up on someone without a sound, and a knack for appearing at the worst possible moment. Once he was satisfied, Sanemi turned his attention back to Kyojuro, who's bright eyes were as wide as the Wind Hashira had ever seen them. “Why are you always. So. Fucking. Loud!” Sanemi hissed as he pulled his hand from Kyojuro's mouth. “I-” Kyojuro started, at his usual volume, before clamping back down on his tongue at Sanemi's scowl. He took a moment to lower his voice to a whisper, face contorted, as if the very act was abhorrent to him. “I apologise, Shinazugawa,” the Flame Hashira eventually whispered. “I…I cannot help myself.”
“Sa…Sanemi,” Kyojuro gasped after he finally managed to rid himself of the gag. Sanemi could see the stars in his eyes as they swam. He whimpered, biting down on his lips as Sanemi licked him from neck to navel. “Hmm?” Sanemi started, a confused noise coming from his throat as Kyojuro’s legs wrapped around his back. The Flame Hashira locked his ankles together and pulled Sanemi closer. “M..more,” Kyojuro gasped as Sanemi looked down at him. “Please…more…” Sanemi's eyes widened in surprise for a moment. This was a new development. The primal need in Kyojuro's hazy eyes was infectious. Sanemi could feel the Flame Hashira's thirst drawing him in. “Heh,” Sanemi smirked down at his comrade. “I don't know about that. Especially when you can't keep quiet.” “Please,” Kyojuro begged, pulling Sanemi closer. “I'l…I'll be quiet…please…”

Snippet from a SaneRen KNY fan fiction: “Look, don’t try to act all concerned, princess. This is nothing to me.” “Yes, well. I do not wish to be alarmist,” Kyojuro replies, “but it would be remiss of me not to take this seriously. Those things inside you could be liquefying your organs, for all we know.” “Cute. Are we all outta comforting words?” Sanemi scoffs. “Y’know, you’re almost tolerable when you’re business-like.” “I can be comforting,” Kyojuro says, his voice soft, “but I’m sure that’s not what you’re looking for.” Sanemi narrows his eyes, but for once, his expression is difficult to parse; there are too many emotions there, far too subtle for Kyojuro to read. But mostly, he just looks tired, and pale, and sick, and in pain, and it’s not at all fair, but they have to keep moving. “Shinazugawa?” Kyo says. “We really should get going,” and when that fails to elicit a response, Kyojuro bites his lip and asks, as gently as he can muster, “...do you need another minute?” “No, just—fuck off, already!” Sanemi snarls, the look on his face quickly turning back to anger, like someone’s flipped a switch, nothing subtle or nuanced about it; he’s pissed, and as Sanemi shoves past, Kyojuro almost, almost reaches out. His voice is strangely urgent. “Shinazugawa, I didn’t—I didn’t mean—” What? To insult him? To insinuate that he was weak, somehow? Of course not. He wants to tell him; the words are there, building at the back of his throat—gentle or chiding, Kyojuro doesn’t even know—but he swallows them back down and slowly lowers his hand as Sanemi takes the lead. Trying to talk to Sanemi right now will only make things worse, and they don’t have time for this, anyway.
