For some reason, the reference to the 'Ladies of Partick' on this sign on the Jubilee Gates of Victoria Park of the West of Glasgow always amuses me, possibly because it now comes across as a rather antiquated phrase.

This cast iron fountain was created for the 1901 Glasgow International Exhibition in Kelvingrove Park. At the end of the festival it was removed and re-erected in Alexandra Park in 1914.

A former gas lamp (now converted to an electric one) on North Gate to Victoria Park in the west of Glasgow. It's one of a pair created, along with the rest of the gate, in 1887, by Walter MacFarlane's Saracen Foundry.
