The Gold-ringed Tanager (Bangsia aureocincta) is a stunning Chocó endemic only found in Colombia. It inhabits a narrow band of dense humid, mossy cloud-forest on the slopes of the western Andes, where it survives on a diet of fruit and insects. They are listed as Vulnerable. #savethechoco
The real life #toucansam is a Plate-billed Mountain Toucan (Andigena laminirostris). It can be found in the western Andes of Ecuador and Colombia. #savethechoco
