It's still early days, but with former governor Roy Cooper running for Senate & now Hickory Nut Gap farm co-founder Jamie Ager running for the NC11 congressional seat, I think Dems in metro Asheville will be fired up heading into 2026. Basically what the UNC BoG said with this decision is UNCs should assume minimal public ed funding so they should sell themselves out to the highest commercial development bidders to maximize revenue. This is sadly becoming the state of public education in NC. Change starts locally! #SavetheWoods
