This large format photograph, titled by the artist Piss Pieta on the Rocks, is an obvious homage to Andre Serrano's 1987 Piss Christ. It depicts a cast plastic sculpture of a classic Pieta, the Virgin rendered with the impassive face of Melania Trump, and the supine post crucifixion Christ with the petulant face of Trump. The Pieta is submerged in a large rocks glass together with yellow ice cubes, and the head of Stephen Miller impaled on a cocktail umbrella toothpick, in a liquid resembling cloudy urine. The glass is filled to overflowing. Note the florid gilding of the exposed flesh of both figures of the Pieta, which emphasizes the deep cleavage of the Virgin. A pungent commentary on contemporary politics.

This outright forgery of a lost work by Da Vinci surpasses the original with its supple brushstrokes of a masterful, delicate impasto technique, while foreshadowing Dadaist collage and the niceties of the Eastern European Soviet era Brutalist School. The black velvet painting surface only enhances its superb charismatic charm. Sold to an anonymous wealthy collector by Southebys for six million dollars, it was later recovered from a roll-away dumpster after the filming of an episode of the Hoarders cable tv series.
