A double bed sized blanket laid flat on the floor. It is made from a chaotic mixture of granny squares and 3D flowers in many colours, but predominantly shades of blue.

Scrap of new blanket about two inches wide made from scraps of various pinks held together with a constant thin brown yarn to keep it a bit more cohesive. The stitch is HDC one, chain one, with the HDCs going into the second row down so that the colours are more mixed together.

I shall get a better photo with the corner not hidden, but this’ll do for now- the Megablanket is finished!

I’ve started a pink blanket, not granny squares, to make the eldest’s girlfriend feel welcome in his room.

The fleece visible at the bottom is waiting to be filled with more crochet additions. The blanket is very colourful but there is more blue than any other colour.

Crochet granny square done mostly with front post double crochet and many shades of blue. Also some small scraps of grey, green and gold. There is a 3d four petaled flower emerging from the square rings of different shades at the centre. As if the flower was behind a flat square and showing its shape through the fabric.

Today’s freehand square uses many very tiny scraps of yarn. I’m pleased with how the 3d worked out but it doesn’t show well in a 2d photo.

A very small ball of gold thread, maybe two centimetres in diameter, sits on a piece of brightly coloured fabric made from many colours of crocheted hexagon. The ball has thread emerging from the centre and the outside.

The toes of two socks with Nalbinding needles stuck in them. The toe is in Oslo stitch using multicoloured yarn in reds, greens and browns. The start of the foot section is orange and in a different smoother stitch (Delana).

Third time’s a charm. I kept ending up with huge socks but I think I’ve just about got it right now. One failure might be husband socks at some point…

A small lady with her face blanked out in green scribbles is wearing a jumper many sizes too big for her. It comes nearly to her knees and way over her hands which she holds up comically. The jumper is in many shades of green in partial stripes with olive green cuffs, bottom hem and around the end of the roll neck.

I finished the big green giant!

All Oslo stitch (nalbinding) in the end because I only remembered that I had intended to use another stitch for the cuffs and hem on once I’d already finished one cuff. It looked nice and I did not feel like redoing it!
