Today, I went fishing in the Baltic Sea near Ystad, Sweden. The beautiful rock reefs here are known for holding stunning sea trout. It was a delightful experience surrounded by nature, with the gentle waves and the serene atmosphere enhancing the adventure.

This is #LochAline. Imagine in this tranquil scene the intermittent splash of jumping fish. The #seatrout are back - amazing brothers & sisters to freshwater Brown Trout that choose to migrate to sea instead. They seem to be recovering here, probably due to the closure of the industrial salmon farm.

I was first introduced to the spotted sea trout, while targeting redfish in Florida. I was impressed by how hard they smashed my baitfish imitation and ran with it. Their diet, which consists of crabs, shrimp, and small baitfish, makes them an ideal species for fly fishers…
