People walking on a paved platform, beyond which there is nothing but gray. This is Land’s End in Cornwall.
Logan Rock is both the name of this tip of the headland and a logan stone somewhere on it. We totally missed it, there was so much to gape at. You had to scrabble quite a bit to climb to the top (ish) but it was totally worth it.
In the picture there is a huge, rugged, grey, lumpy thing that entirely fulfills the criterion of ”great rock action”. It’s surrounded by turquoise waters that vanish quickly into thick fog.
A person in a white hoodie and wearing a turquoise bandana peers at a pigeon less than a meter away. In the foreground there are rugged, rounded stones and a stony ridge can be seen in the background. Vanishing into the surrounding fog are turquoise waves somewhere far back and below. More turquoise seawater surrounded by loads of rugged rock. There is white foam where yhe waves meet the cliffs in the distance. Heavy fog hangs above everything.
Nearly 20 000 steps along the coastline near Land’s End. It was so foggy Land’s End really looked like the end of everything. On the top of Logan Rock headland we met a friendly pigeon and the fog finally started to clear. Amazing scenery. They should shoot a Star Wars here or something. #sedc2025
