Luna with a Seestar50 telescope

Owl nebula and Surfboard Galaxy
First clear night for 10 weeks and above us in the UK was a lovely montage of the Owl Nebula (bottom L), the Surfboard Galaxy (top R) and some lesser stars in Ursa forming a cone #seestar50 #astrophotography
Blood moon during lunar eclipse in 2025 taken with a seestar50
Looks like the eclipse won't be great for the US tonight (throw back below to last years) but other areas of the world can still get a show : www.space.com/stargazing/lunar-eclipse...

Betelgeuse is still there. #Astronomy #Seestar50 #Seestar
So, my #Seestar50 remains unused because of sky conditions. Soon my smartscope, soon...
TWO #COMETS IMAGED THIS MORNING
#24P #Schaumasse & #29P #SchwassmannWachmann.
The last one exemplifies the amazing power of #Seestar50 to monitor cometary activity up to at least +13 magnitude.
Really impressive 2 min. exposure images for a really small 5 cm telescope

#MontsenyObservatory
Mine with a #Seestar50, the last time (aeons ago ...) that we had a clear night in southern England!
#MontsenyObservatory
Still, clear skies for a #SeeStar50 run over the next few days/nights.
Managed to squeeze in the other neighbour NGC 3077 (bottom left) in a shot around the same time from the UK. #seestar50
3I/ATLAS
BON DIA, REPTE SUPERAT! Us ho explico a:

M42. The Orion Nebula. Taken tonight with the Seestar 50 from my backyard in Australia.
M42. The Orion Nebula. Taken half an hour ago, with the #Seestar50 from my backyard in Queensland, Australia. #stargazing #nebula
Will the denoise feature in #Seestar50 take out those trails? My version of pretty much the same shot from a few days ago in the UK, with NGC3077 also in frame bottom left
Mine from the UK a couple of weeks back, also with a #seestar50 but only processed on my phone
And here is the whimsically named but aptly mysterious Soul Nebula, captured last night with my #seestar50
#astrophotography
Above us last night in the UK was the Heart Nebula, captured with my #seestar50. Another long clear night tonight, so I got the Soul Nebula as well, to be processed tomorrow.
#astrophotography
This is a closer view I got in the UK last night with my #seestar50. I love the way the dust creates wraith-like shapes around Merope in particular (bottom right)
This is the interstellar comet C3/ATLAS imaged from Oxfordshire UK on the morning of November 17 2025. It’s brighter than I expected.
‘I met a traveller from an antique land…’
This is #3I/Atlas imaged just a few mins ago in the pre dawn sky here in Oxfordshire UK. With my #Seestar50
It’s quite bright! Showed up immediately on the screen.
I’ve only gone and captured an interstellar comet! @&*!@#£!!!
#Astrophotography
Grey skies stretching into the immediate future. Looks like I won't be using my #Seestar50 soon.
A beautiful object. My look, also in a #seestar50, a month or so back
Eastern part of the Veil fitted nicely into my #Seestar50 frame last night, but I think the built-in filters maybe went a bit OTT vis a vis the colouring? #astrophotography
My effort with my #seestar50 a few nights ago (first we’d had clear for ages). A beautiful object, hope it’s in view!
A rather lovely triangular collection of different types of deep sky objects above us last night. Top, the Bubble Nebula, bottom L the star cluster M52 and bottom R (if my orienteering is correct, & to see it you may need to click the pic) the double star 4 Cassiopeiae #seestar50 #astrophotography
Really cheated last night and took advantage of the pre-programming feature of the #seestar50 to capture the Dumbbell Nebula in a clear window in the middle of the night when I was fast asleep … Really interesting reading up on its complex characteristics #astrophotography
M33, the so-called Triangulum Galaxy
M33, the so-called Triangulum Galaxy (why?) last night. Third largest of our ‘local’ galaxies after Andromeda and the Milky Way #seestar50 #astrophotography. PS, who knew that the word ‘galaxy’ derives from the Greek word for milk? Not me till yesterday!
My take on the same with my #Seestar50 last night , from the UK
Andromeda from last night as promised! Assume the companion galaxy is M32? #seestar50 #astrophotography
FINALLY a clear night! Captured Andromeda on my #Seestar50. Assume the satellite galaxy is M32? Amazing what detail in the spiral arms this little scope can pick out #astrophotography
Capturing Andromeda on my #Seestar50 right now. Amazing
