Seteth hums. He’s never seen one of Byleth’s lectures, hasn’t had time lately to sit in on any of them like he sometimes does with Manuela and Hanneman. He tries to imagine it, Byleth at the front of the class with his square shoulders, commanding everyone’s attention, explaining tactics that are simple to him and complex to all others. The mock Battle of the Eagle and the Lion is fast approaching, and he imagines Byleth to be competitive, that he’s ruthlessly teaching his students how to exploit the weaknesses of their fellow students. Perhaps those sharp eyes are roving over the classroom, picking apart his students as pawns for his win, deciding where to place them and which of them to pair together—

Snippet: Byleth’s gaze slides over to Seteth, who is dutifully holding his tongue. The corners of Byleth’s mouth quirk up in amusement. “Your thoughts, my steadfast advisor? What will you be wearing?” Seteth clears his throat before smoothing down his cassock; it will be strange to see him in anything else. “You look presentable in both, but there will no doubt be much change under your rule. Perhaps beginning your reign in the traditional gold trim is a reassuring compromise for the current nobility.” “Seteth has also planned to wear gold trim,” Lorenz adds with a smug glance in Hilda’s direction. Gin's art on the right is influenced by the style of Gustav Klimt, Art Noveau, and Byzantine art. It features Seteth standing behind Byleth, gently placing the crown on his head.
