Sharing an old memory from September 1978. I had just moved into my first apartment, and I was cooking pancakes for dinner in an old electric skillet because I didn't know how to use the stove.
The Muppet Show is back, and I feel the urge for pancakes.

Merry Christmas!
We tried to change things up this year and set up a metallic tree with disco balls, a mirrored star and more. It lasted all of 12 minutes. TWELVE! Buddy had it down on the floor, and, broken mirror tiles everywhere. It was a fun idea, anyway.

Heh, I had to apologize to the neighbor for screaming. I forgot George the mannequin was in the living room. He scared me when I walked in. My first thought was why is there a man in fencing tights and no head standing in my living room?

I've got a lifetime of quilts, and they're all sitting in old steamer trunks. In an effort to share them, I'm reworking them. Upcycle?
This vest was a quilt a few days ago. The edge binding was also the original quilt binding. The leather buttons are also handmade.

Shhh, baby kitty is taking an afternoon nap all snuggled under a quilt. It's a cold, blustery November first. It's a good day to snuggle. Is there hot cocoa? I think we need hot cocoa.

So, I did a thing. I bought this Pfaff 130. Within an hour of using it, it was shooting sparks and started smoking. The seller claims it worked, no returns. I bought and installed a new motor, foot pedal, and rewired the light. The motor is twice as powerful as the original!

It's time. Why wait for the inevitable? If you're new here, @tetrabryaton.bsky.social and I live in a former funeral parlor. Our living room was one of the viewing parlors. We try and make it a cool environment. A skeleton spinning yarn from cobwebs seems appropriate.

A nice thing happened. I was chatting with our handyman. I was telling him about making a garden in the back instead of weeds.
Fast forward two hours, he and his guy came over with wheelbarrows full of topsoil and gave us a good base!

This past spring, @tetrabryaton.bsky.social and I got a couple of rose bushes. Some weird cutworms devoured them immediately. I cut them back and sheltered them, and we're finally getting some amazing fall blooms. The stems are super long, and the flowers are so fragrant.
