Statutory paternity leave is totally inadequate. Proper #sharedparentalleave would help to address the wage gap, tackle post-natal isolation, and break 1950s-style gender-roles!

Hopefully we now have a government prepared to think carefully about how to enable and encourage fathers to be fully engaged. This is a moment to secure extra dedicated leave for dads, expanded #sharedparentalleave eligibility, and a shift to better workplaces that value and support new parents.
