Partially cut lawn with a clump of long grass left intact to shelter a rabbit.
Young cottontail rabbit in long grass.
I mow every 3 weeks because a study found this frequency led to the greatest bee species richness. Often leaving some clumps of flowers, I always mow around 2 grass clumps after finding rabbit nests in May because the young still like to hide in them. ❤️ #sharingwithnature #naturefriendly #rabbits
