I believe our government has forgotten what empathy is and how to show. Mercy and love to the poor to the needy and how to offer help to them by cutting the fundings that they have cut a vast number of nonprofits will go out of business. #showempathy

I’m in a place in my life where 100% believe ICE should either be eliminated or be solely made up of minorities while I understand that they are just following directions. Their directions are wrong and unmerciful and unempathetic #showempathy

Final comment on the heated debate of the last few days regarding euthanasia, FND, and the defamation of the ME/CFS and Long Covid communities. In January 2024, we launched #UniteToFight2024 in response to yet another tragic loss among our ranks. As part of the preparation, I had the opportunity to speak at length with the person’s closest relatives. I saw the candle lit in their memory and the place of remembrance. Now, part of the #MedTwitter bubble has begun discussing #mecfs and #longCOVID without deep experience, using terms like “scene,” “grouping,” “aggressive bubble,” and comparing these illnesses to others—far more researched conditions—while questioning the ultimate severity of these diseases and the last resort options available to patients. A simple “you can do better” is no longer sufficient at this stage.

Those who have trivialized these diseases for decades, particularly in women, should now show humility and take the time to listen. Instead, dissenting voices are being blocked, contributing to the defamation of these conditions. You have two options: 1.Invest time and resources to thoroughly understand these conditions and support patients. 2.Acknowledge that this is not your area of expertise and refer patients to those who can help. And please, on platforms like X, be cautious with statements that begin with “I think…” or “I believe…” and wild assumptions. Instead think about how would you feel, if you have a severe neuroimmunological condition, neglected for decades, without proper support structures, no approved treatments and no proper research. One thing you can do at least and it costs you nothing ! No money and no time ! Show empathy !!!
