An airy shoulder shrug, infinity shawl. Pooling allows the colours to stack up on each other. The intense turquoise is highlighted by white and brown stripes. A Moebius cast on is such an intriguing mix of knit and magic.

This piece combines several techniques. Pooling the colours of a hand dyed yarn. Working Cat Bordi's Moebius cast-on, repeating lace panels and fringe bind-off.

A fey form in the forest looking back over her shoulder as she walks away. She is wearing a very colourful shawl. The colours are of the woods and garden. The shawl is circular. A part of the shawl is draped over her head as a hood. The edging is in shades of green and outlined with round beaded dangles. The border inside the edging is a diamond lattice pattern, beaded and hand painted in mottled Autumn tones. The colours when painting with dyes blend together like watercolors.

Garden Gate Shawl - this is perhaps my favourite photo of any piece I have ever designed and knit.

The shawl was originally knit in undyed Alafoss Einband Laceweight and then hand painted with dyes.

A rainbow circular lace shawl. Knit using Elizabeth Zimmerman 's pi principal. The shawl starts at red and builds out from there in the rainbow sequence of colours. The shawl is heavily beaded and features, flowers, leafing 🌿 branches, bumblebees and butterfly's 🦋 The edge is pointy all around. The model wearing the shawl is facing away and holding out her arms so that the shawl shows well. The shawl is worn with a fold at the neckline to form a deep collar.

Knit with Kauni Lace in the EQ colourway.

A large square shawl, blocking on the floor. It is all over Shetland lace, predominantly purple in colour. There are green stripes in the wide border lace pattern. The purple lace center is framed in a border of fair-isle flowers, on a light blue background.

A young woman, quite tall, is wearing the shawl, folded on the diagonal, off set to show the multi corners of the design.

The shawl folded at a different angle. So many ways to show lace.

Knit for the Buffalo Wool Co. In their Sexy laceweight - 50% silk, 50%bison

Hand painted lace fan blocking. Hand painted with acid dyes, and small hair brushes as synthetic brushes will not hold the dye and then heat set with vinegar. The colours are predominantly gold and blue with pink 🩷 highlights. The texture is very delicate and open. The shapes are almost all diamond based and build up on top of each other. The fan is very heavily beaded adding silver dots to the all over texture.
