I was away camping in sweltering heat yesterday, so I missed #ShowYourStripesDay But here they are: the stripes for Coventry. The last three years have been >1.5°C already ://showyourstripes.info/c/europe/unitedkingdom/coventry

@edhawkins.org started #showyourstripesday, every June 21, we see warming patterns from cities around the world. His message today was clear, we're seeing warming everywhere. It's like looking at Fruit Stripe gum from the book 1984. We all know what's going on. Can we now take some action?

graphic from showyourstripes.org, showing vertical bands of blue, white, and red narrow stripes. They represent temperature changes over time in Philadelphia, PA in the US. From left to right, they show a clear change from dark blues (cool temps) around 1860 to bright reds in the 2020s
Clearly Philly has gotten a lot warmer in the past 25 year (as we sit in an Extreme Heat Warning for several days - may feel like 107F)
