It's based on a manga series of the same name & I haven't read them, but I saw Lewis "Linkara" Lovhaug review it on his Longbox of the Damned series & even the manga looked pretty good as well. It's like an anthology series where it mostly ends in a horrifying, but also tragic & sad, way that always had a morale in those stories.
