I got my ticket to see The Librarians at the Hi-Pointe theater. First film this year for SLIFF - might do a double feature and see The Pantone Guy tonight. #sliff

Should have posted about #SLIFF more, and should have been involved just a tiny bit more, but life got in the way. Still was a fun time volunteering and helping out on the intern team!!

NIGHTBITCH is equally weird as it is a riot. It feels like a tribute to motherhood, female rage & overcoming societal expectations. One of Amy Adams' best performances in years with McNairy putting in a solid supportive performance. I would've liked it to be weirder tho.

SEPTEMBER 5 is a tense chamber piece and tightly-edited thriller focused on the ethics & the responsibilities of broadcast journalism. A strong ensemble cast with both Saarsgard and Magaro leading the charge. However, its Western perspective complicates and limits things.

Another day volunteering for #SLIFF, got to see The Seed of a Sacred Fig. Pretty great movie! Loved how it felt like a little bit of a variation on Kurosawa's Stray Dog.
