Snow covers roofs and lawns of these cute little bricks houses across the street. The trees behind have snow-laden branches. The sky seems to be clearing.
My daughter, wearing a red hoodie, is clearing the sidewalk of snow, a civic obligation, especially in hilly terrain. She's made it three doors up, joining the already shoveled spot of a conscientious neighbor.
Snow tends to beautify things, hiding blemishes, blinding us with white light. This b&w photo is a peek over the next-door neighbor's fence, looking at the snow-covered branches of leafless maples. The tree crowns are nicely rounded. The sky looks leaden, although it is clearing to the south.
We got about 3 inches of dry snow which is currently melting. We may have a skating pond tomorrow morning! Bad thing about dogs, you still gotta take them outside even if you're flu-ish.
