I was awake early today, well ahead of my 5:30 alarm. I lay there in the warm, soft dark, thinking about the busy day that lies ahead and the possibilities therein. I really enjoy that time before the starting gun, when plans can be made at a stately pace and the rush and tumble is still a wave on the horizon. The Morning Mellow project hits another milestone today: 800 picks. 799 unique tracks by 793 unique artists (nobody's perfect...) and 31 (soon to be 32…) continuous mixes. And whilst I’d love to throw myself a ticker tape parade, that's not really in keeping with the vibe of this exercise, plus a week of 6:30am meetings has got me a little floaty 🙂. So instead, I'm going to gently slide into the next century with something soft and gray to suit a somewhat gray start to the day. Here's some more (US) morning mellow.
