#Nikko was really cool, and that winding road up was really cool. Would love to drive up it one day.

🍁Japan 2024 - Day 10🍁

It’s time for a day trip out of #Tokyo. Riding on the #SpaciaX was an absolute treat, and the journey out was ever so calm and relaxing. Did I mention they have an onboard bar as well?

Japanese #trains are truly a marvel, and they are oh so pretty.

I promised special features for the return trip, and it delivered!

I was lucky enough to book the #SpaciaX Cockpit Suite, a private space at the front of the train. Seats? Nah, it has couches! And priority bar access to buy the local beers on tap. Oh, and @thatjohn.bsky.social was there! So fancy!

スペーシアX1号がSL大樹と下今市で接続しているのは承知していたけど、今日の運用車種(牽引機)の説明を車内でするなど案内が丁寧。
ただ、Nikko目当てのnon-Japanese touristsが多いので、訴求力的にどうなんでしょうかね。
