The Veldt’s Spanakopita EP Features Mixes by Dälek, Carlos Bess and Jason Furlow The Daniel and Danny Chavis-led group release a tour-only EP featuring production from the Wu-Tang Clan circle and Dälek's Will Brooks The Veldt have released "Black Girl," a new single accompanied by a video directed by Rob Weiss and James Eakins. The track previews Spanakopita, an EP issued on Portland's Little Cloud Records and Raleigh's 5BC Records, available exclusively as a physical CD during the Arctic Moon Tour, a run of North American dates co-headlined with post-punk band The Chameleons (Read our interview with The Chameleons). The tour opens April 7 in Minneapolis, moving through East Coast, South-Central US, and Midwest cities, with select Canadian stops.

I grew up with my Greek grandmother making it the “long form” way and cutting it into triangles, but I discovered doing it this way several years ago. You don’t need to worry as much about the phyllo dough staying intact. #spanakopita
