An illustration of a “Tiny One,” utilizing Sakura Pigma micron pens.
Expanded descripton:
This is the tiny, eusocial relative of the four-sexed Horizali, which they call in their various native lips "The Tiny Ones".
Like the Horizali, these Tiny Ones have four sexes and carry eggs in their heads. This is not lost to some Horizali cultures, who distinguish themselves from animality with their four-sexed condition in contrast to the two of nearly all other fauna on Huwama. They even give a divine significance to this differentiation, leading them venerate their four-sexed relatives.
Following these beliefs would be the consecration of the mound sites built by these Tiny Ones, involving sacred food offerings (including Horizali deceased as part of their funeral rites), the assembly of dedicated shrines and appointed stewards who fend off predatory fauna and Horizali malefactors… Differences in belief regarding other four-sexed fauna can be a source of conflict with other Horizali clans, who may see them as prey or pests instead.
Detailed visual description:
From below the horizontal jaws are a pair of olfactory tentacles sticking out. Four eyes drain into a pair of grooves originating from a genital orifice — here, the ovigerous cavity on top of the head — which ultimately drains into the mouth. A large pair of earholes behind the eyes. Four long legs tipped with quadridigital feet. Breathing orifice above shoulder. Thorax is densely hairy, as is tail, which is short and thick proximally but thin distally, with this part being raised in the air and ending with a tuft of hair. Dorsal abdominal region creased with multiple folds.
A “Tiny One,” close relatives of the four-sexed Horizali species.
The fact that these eusocial Tiny Ones also have four sexes is not lost on some Horizali clans… they attach divine significance to this, leading them to consecrate the mound sites of the Tiny Ones.
