WonterRail - Dorset Coast Express August 15th 2024 #dorsetcoastexpress #railtour #steamrailtour #steamtrain #train #transpotting #lms #black5 #44871 #class47 #47848 #westcoastrailways #wcr #britishrail #blueandgrey #swr #southwesternrailway #class444 #desiro #arrival #inbound #departure #outbound #thrash #overcast #rainyday In this video, we see the second (and what is probably the final) Dorset Coast Express of 2024, this time taking the clips I managed to get and combine them into this one slightly longer video, which also includes a clip of a passing SWR train, taken just before the return leg came past. Like last time, this tour involved the diesel taking the train down to Weymouth (again operated by a WCR Class 47, this time numbered 47848) with the steam loco then taking the return leg back to London (again operated by LMS Black Five 4-6-0 No. 44871, which made quite a sound as it powered out on it's return trip). Interestingly enough, the coaching stock for this tour was made up of Blue & Grey livered Mk2's, when usually, they would be in WCR Maroon, making for a nice change from the usual.
