The #stitchingourtime banner we made after asking visitors to an exhibition the question - ‘What do you cherish?’ then embroidering their answers onto calico, is now hanging in the grand surroundings of #Worthing Town Hall. There were 90 contributors to the project.

#StitchingOurTime is now being exhibited at #TheGoodStitch in #Worthing
This is one of the most joyful art projects I’ve ever been involved with. We asked people what they cherish and they wrote their responses on tissue paper.
We then embroidered their words onto calico.

We finished our #StitchingOurTime project today!
We embroidered over 90 people’s responses to the question ‘What Do You Cherish’, each adding to the hopeful, joyful, collaborative time of the piece.
Thanks to my co-artist Lemsford and all the people of #Worthing for being part of it.

My art project #StitchingOurTime done in collaboration with another artist has been amazing. We spent 6 days in a gallery in #Worthing talking to the community about what they cherish & stitching their answers (in their handwriting) onto a banner.
The answers were hopeful and heartening!
