There’s a rich dark seam in Kneale’s 70s work of arrogant professional idiot-men ignoring or betraying the women in their lives, but they rarely get the comeuppance we see here. And Bryant’s enacting Munch, surely. The ‘weakness’ and breakdown he’s mocked in Jill. Very impressive. #stonetapelive

Oh yeah, and I suppose I should plug my book about Kneale’s The Quatermass Experiment : currently on offer in the latest edition of the Radio Times. I’m very proud of it: lots of work went into it and it was a labour of love. Everything you need to know & some gorgeous photos.

Didn't follow #StoneTapeLive as it is the first time I've seen it. The most horrific thing for me was when her work was being shredded after the inquest. I'm not being flippant - that really, really got to me.
