Just found out that the 21 Feb. #stopTheBleed class in San Francisco is internal only (although it was listed as "walk in" on the site).

Alameda County is supposed to have a class in the future but no dates yet.

🩸 What to include:
• Tourniquet
• Hemostatic gauze
• Pressure bandage
• Compressed gauze
• Nitrile gloves
• Trauma shears
• Marker (write tourniquet time)

Preparedness isn’t fear — it’s care.

I’ve seen people suggest using a belt if you don’t have a tourniquet. I recommend against this because the windlass is the key part. You can use a pen or stick instead. #StopTheBleed

And carry medical AND know how to #STOPTHEBLEED. A TQ, quick clot and a chest seal at the very least.
