So many trees down in Ballyar Wood after #storméowyn. As of 24 hours ago, 240,000 homes are still without electricity in rural Ireland. I am not in any way calling out the crews who have been working non-stop to restore electricity since the storm. I AM calling out...

Day six after storm Éowyn with no power/heating/water but all two and four legged family are safe & well and miraculously the roof stayed on!

We lost 8 trees on the seaward side. Smashed deck, smashed ourdoor furniture. Some roof damage. #storméowyn no more batch cooking.

My folks little old cottage in East Galway, withstood the worst of Storm Éowyn, a few roof tiles lost, some large pines down and no power. The glasshouse a bit smashed up, yet again. Every storm that has come through recently has chipped away at this little spot. #storméowyn #ireland

We got our power back this evening, remarkable considering the vast amounts of damage from the storm. Huge thanks to all those working hard to reconnect folk. It's been a bonus, sitting by the fire reading by candlelight.
