I visited a farm outside Monasterevin on Saturday after #StormClaudia. Met Éireann told me this area received the November monthly average of #rain in the space of five days. Full interview on #Countrywide on RTÉ Radio on Saturday.

Just a sneaking suspicion but I reckon my two heavy 6’x6’ fence panels and two 6’x3”x3” fence posts might just have damaged my car if I’d been charging it when #StormClaudia struck last Friday. It was there the night before fortunately. This is its usual position for charging not parking thankfully.

Some interesting weather in #Darwen #Lancashire in the last few days. 59mm (2.3 in) of rain fell on Friday/Saturday. That's almost half of the average total for November. As #StormClaudia moved away, a northerly Arctic airstream was pulled across the UK. The min temperature so far has been 1.2°C.

Considering the damage and mayhem around here caused by #StormClaudia it’s amazing to see the normally abject failure pigeon nest in our ginkgo tree is still intact. In recent years the slightest breeze would result in twigs on the lawn. Maybe they’ve got the hang of it now.
