Mushroom woven (twined) in white paper yarn held up to light. The twined stakes are brought together in the centre, creating "gills" on the underside before being bound together to form the stalk.

Work in progress. I love the structure of fungi and have just started experimenting with how to recreate some of these forms using traditional basketry techniques. This could take quite a while!
