Grilled salmon 2 ways- BBQ rub and shawarma rub.
Pilaf with apricots, raisins, pistachios.
Salad with cranberries, parm curls, and the last of our homegrown tomatoes.

A pistachio green table cloth & placemat /w lemon pattern. A bread plate & soup bowl in the Friendly Village pattern. There are homemade gluten free cheddar scones on the plate & the bowl has Hodge Podge. Hodge Podge is a traditional Nova Scotia late summer soup made /w milk, butter, green string & yellow wax beans. From there everyone has their own variations. Today I used pureed cauliflower to thicken it a bit & turnip, carrot, new potato, & shallots all fresh & as local as it gets. Seasoned with bay leaf, sea salt, nutmeg, crushed peppercorns & fennel seeds in the mortar/pestle. Everything was done low & slow on the stove top and celery leaves added in lastly.
Hectic week, so I took a slow Sunday & sat /w a cuppa, carefully chopping fresh local veg for #HodgePodge and scratch biscuits. #SundaySupper
