A Delicious in Dungeon sketch dump going over the details of an original monster concept: the Wraith. The Wraith is a limbless bird-like monster with an exposed rib cage-like structure and a mouth spit in four sections.The first two doodles show it standing there, using its wings to prop itself up straight, as it fans its tail feathers out. Text by it reads "Wraith: badly mimics large birds. Mouth mimics bird beak when closed. False eyes on large feathers drape over face, real eyes look like nostrils. Neck bunches up when sitting upright. Males have bright plumage, females have muted colors. Snake-like body." The next doodle shows the Wraith in flight, wings spread out and mouth open. The notes near this one read "Wraiths feed off of the life force of prey by latching on with their mouths. They slither and fly, using cute mimicry and stealth to get to prey. Exposed rib cage-like structure houses the organ that stores the leached life force. It expands to fill the rib cage when full. Organs are stored [in a bloated pouch beneath the ribs]. Males travel far to find prey. They return to their nests and regurgitate the liquid life force to feed their young." The third doodle is a close up of the head, calling to a baby near some eggs. The baby looks like a pathetic worm. Notes read "feathers retract, mouth opens. Neck stretches, revealing sparse feathers on dark skin". The final doodle is of a wraith wrapped around Chilchuck, mouth open and ready to suck his life force. He is visibly distraught and trying to break free. This doodle also reveals that the wraith is similar in size to him.
